Why I’m a Life Coach

Life is full of twists and turns. Sometimes you know exactly where you’re headed and other times, not so much. The challenges undoubtedly make life interesting; when we feel lost and unsure of what’s next, it’s hard to know where to start and/or how to get back on track.

It doesn’t matter what your situation is ~ life after divorce, fleeing abuse, loss due to the death of a loved one or empty nest syndrome, relocation, or simply a desire to change paths on your journey, it helps to have some support and guidance from someone who understands what you’ve been through. As you explore my website and read my blog, you’ll find more detailed posts about my experiences and background. However, I would like to briefly tell you a few “bits and bobs” here so that you understand why I’m a Life Coach helping those who are starting over and why I chose this niche.

Since February 2009 I have:

  • Filed for divorce
  • Fled abuse
  • Started over in new homes {twice and one of those moves was a trans-Atlantic one}
  • Spent 3 years, 2 months in divorce proceedings {during which I attended 11 court hearings and watched the system turn a blind eye to my ex’s conduct all throughout}, but finally obtained a divorce
  • Scheduled, postponed, rescheduled a house clearance and trans-Atlantic move {the second time covered in chicken pox, which was why I had to postpone the move in the first place}
  • Dealt with the aftermath of my ex’s sudden death
  • Lost my mom after watching her suffer through Stage 4 cancer
  • Helped my daughter {who suffers from anxiety, depression and {formerly} self-harm} turn her life around after some very tough times.
  • Found my purpose and started two businesses
  • Helped women find effective help that led to their escape/rebuild
  • Finished a book that’s now ready for publication and working on another

I have faced life after divorce, abuse, loss, relocation and I am still standing, stronger than ever and determined to leave the adversity behind. I want to help others do the same thing. I believe I can bring something different to Life Coaching:

  • I will never make you feel like you’re “just another client”. I consider all clients important and I am truly grateful for your custom.
  • I strive to live by the following quote by Marvin J. Ashton: “Be the one who nurtures and builds. Be the one who has an understanding and a forgiving heart one who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them.”
  • I don’t claim to know all the answers, but I will help you find the best answers for you.
  • I don’t claim to know all the answers and I am open to what my clients can teach me.
  • I understand the ups and downs all too well and I am here to help clients through their low points. Some days, it’s okay to not want to chase the dream and that’s okay. We can just pick up where we left off.
  • I would rather focus on the process and take a day at a time.
  • I will celebrate your successes with you.
  • I will strive to help you have the life you deserve and love without the need or desire to escape.

Sound good? Let’s work together!
