Greetings & Welcome to Designing Life.

Eight years ago, I sat in a new house amid dozens of boxes filled with my belongings. For the first time in my life, I was completely in charge of my life, my space, my future. My previous chapter spanned a period of 14 years and, sadly, I’d relinquished control of the pen that wrote that part of my story.

The worst part of it? Not knowing how long I would be in limbo before starting over. Again. Moving to that new house 8 years ago was only the first step in a long, arduous journey. We wound up staying in that house for nearly 2.5 years before moving “across the pond” back to America.

I originally created this blog to share my experiences of rebuilding, but God had other plans for me {which I will write about in coming weeks}. In the meantime, I would just like to apologize to the wonderful people who have stayed subscribed to this blog and say just how grateful I am that you patiently stuck around. I hope you continue to visit me and I invite you to like, share, and comment on my posts.

Again, I just want to say “Thank You” for visiting Designing Life. I hope you have decided, after some exploration, that you would like to return! Please subscribe via email or follow us so you don’t miss future posts. .

Peace & Hugs,

Owner, Designing Life

  1. sounds very interesting…your biog reads a lot like mine in some respects…I was glad to see that you followed my blog. I’m glad you did, I welcome your input and readership 🙂

    1. If you’re interested in joining a blogging group, we have one on FB. We’ve all taken previous WP courses and help each other with blog growth, feedback, etc. We would love for you to be a part of the group. Let me know!

      1. thanks for inviting me! I don’t do FB…but I appreciate your asking me. I do a lot of poetry, and participate in several prompts and I post a lot every day. 🙂

    1. I had some issues with WP this morning. Not sure what was going on.

      Thank you for your kind words. Nice to “meet” you. 🙂

      1. No, I don’t like the new editor either and still use the classic one. Even in the classic editor, I have issues with image placement. I hope it’s not giving you too much trouble!

      2. thanks for that, I thought it was just me. I’m about ready to move onto my laptop and use Win 8…which I hated…but I may also have Win 7 available. This pictures thing is ridiculous. It’s been acting weird, but today it seems really broken. :-}

      3. yes, image placement is a problem, especially rearranging them on the post. It shouldn’t be a complicated thing, but it seems that every time I get used to the program they change it. I post a lot of photos on my blog; the problem I have is getting new images onto the gallery.

  2. Thanks Carol for liking and following jaipurthrumylens!! Friends like you keeps us going….BTW, I have followed you back! 🙂
